LGF is a plane emission type of light guiding film made with transparent silicone rubber. When added to the current membrane switch structure, this film helps achieve even illumination across the surface. And yet by adjusting the layout, selected areas can be designed to light up in different intensity.

Furthermore, utilizing LGF can significantly reduce the cost and power consumption of a device by reducing the number of LED needed to illuminate the same area. LED light is shined from the edge of the LGF to be transmitted internally and emitted evenly where there are white refracting printed dots pattern which can be customized to your needs.
